Jacobs Creek Reserve Pinot Noir, Vintage 2005

Established 1847. Named after Jacobs Creek, site of Johann Gramp's first vineyard in the Barossa Valley. Orlando Wines. South Australia. The winemakers of Jacob's Creek have reserved selected parcels of premium grapes from Australia's fines regions to make this very special wine. Winemaking at our place has been a tradition since 1847 when Johann Gramp plated his first vineyard on the backs of Jacob's Creek. This premium, medium bodied wine is an outstanding example of Australian Pinot Noir, displaying sweet cherry, strawberry and rhubarb characters, balanced by mild oak tannins, leading to a lingering and well-structured finish. An ideal accompaniment to most red meats, pastas and cheeses. A wine that will develop further with cellaring. Alc 13.5% by vol. Produce of Australia.
