History

NDM Market opened its first store in 2005 at 3825 Shackleford Road in Duluth, Georgia.

Since then, our company has expanded to seven additional locations throughout the Greater Atlanta area and continues to grow steadily as we serve more communities.

What began as a single store has grown into a trusted name for shoppers seeking variety, freshness, and international products in one place. As we continue to grow and expand, our focus remains the same. Serving our communities with care, consistency, and a strong commitment to value.

What Does NDM Mean?

NDM stands for Nam Dae Mun, which means Great South Gate in Korean. Namdaemun is the first National Treasure of South Korea and one of the historic gates that once formed the Fortress Wall surrounding Seoul.

Dating back to the early 1400s, Namdaemun grew beside the Great South Gate as a vibrant marketplace of trade. Over the centuries, it became a symbol of commerce and cultural exchange.

At NDM Market, we are proud to honor that heritage. The name Nam Dae Mun reflects a long tradition of bringing people together through trade, connection, and shared experiences. Those values continue to inspire us today as we offer products and flavors from around the world to the communities we proudly serve.
